Roundtrip airfare  to New Orleans, 5 days , 4 nights accommodations in French Quarter, 7 Meals (4 Full Breakfasts, 1 Lunch, 2 Dinners), New Orleans School of Cooking, comprehensive city tour of New Orleans, Mardi Gras World Museum, National World War II Museum (including 4D film), Steamboat Natchez Harbor Cruise, Louisiana Swamp Boat tour, and reserved parade bleacher seating for four parades in New Orleans,  Local Guide while in New Orleans, Taxes, meal gratuities, and baggage handling.

Day 1- Monday February 1,2027

Airport transportation from Chambersburg, Hagerstown and Frederick

TBD.             Depart Baltimore for New Orleans via Southwest Airlines.(Time subject to change)

TBD          Arrive New Orleans airport. Meet our local representative (Michael DeVidts) in the baggage claim area and be escorted to the awaiting motorcoach.

TBD          Comprehensive city tour, to include lunch stop on own with lunch stop on your own.

3:00 p.m.           Admission included to Mardi Gras World Museum (King Cake and refreshments served).

4:30 p.m.           Check-in:  Four Points Sheraton    541 Bourbon Street

6:30 p.m.          Dinner included at Orleans School of Cooking (Chef prepares 3 Louisiana dishes – dinner served at the end of class) (walking distance – approximately 4 “French Quarter” short blocks).

Day 2 – Tuesday, February 2, 2027

7:00 a.m. –   9:00 a.m.   Full breakfast included at hotel.

9:15 a.m.            Depart for National World War II Museum (by coach).

9:30 a.m.            Admission included to the National World War II Museum (including 4D film).

                Free afternoon for shopping, sightseeing, etc. with lunch on own.

5:30 p.m. Dinner included at Tujague’s Restaurant

Day 3 – Wednesday, February 3, 2027

7:00 a.m. –   9:00 a.m.   Full breakfast included at hotel.

                Free day for shopping, sightseeing, etc. with lunch and dinner on own.

6:30 p.m.           Reserved parade bleacher seating for the Krewe of Druids Parade.

Day 4 – Thursday, February 4, 2027

7:00 a.m. –   9:00 a.m.   Full breakfast included at hotel.

10:30 a.m.           Depart for Steamboat Natchez (walking distance – approximately 5 “French Quarter” short blocks).

11:00 a.m.           Boarding begins for the Steamboat Natchez.

11:30 a.m. –   1:30 p.m.  Steamboat Natchez Mississippi River Harbor Cruise with lunch included.

                Remainder of day free for shopping, sightseeing, etc. with dinner on own.

4:45 p.m.           Reserved parade bleacher seating for the Krewes of Babylon, Muses, and Chaos Parades.

Day 5 – Friday, February 5,2027

7:00 a.m. –   9:00 a.m.   Full breakfast included at hotel.

8:00 a.m.            Bags out.

9:00  a.m.           Depart for Swamp Boat tour with lunch stop on own.

10:00 a,m.           Louisiana Swamp Boat Tour. See the Cajuns of the Bayou living and surviving in harmony with the swamps. Here, the waterways are their highways. From the relaxed comfort of our covered Swamp Tour Boat, we will drift slowly past a 2000 year old Indian Burial Mound, a Cajun cemetery and Fishing village! You may see the wildlife that made the Barataria Swamps the Crown Jewel of the Louisiana Purchase. Here, birds, snakes, turtles, fur animals, and Gators are the king of the swamp and easily spotted in Spring, Summer, and Fall.
